Being a kid fighting a serious illness is tough enough.
But for the 20 million kids affected by chronic illness, that’s often just the tip of the iceberg.
Due to physical and financial barriers, kids with serious diagnoses often lack access to the sports, arts, and creative programs that are formative for other kids. Their siblings miss out too, because family resources may be focused on the chronically ill kid. Traditional organizations that support kids in hospital settings aren’t able to serve them when they’re stuck at home.
So they miss out on just being a kid.
We believe technology can be used to scale impact.
The same technology that connects drivers to riders is also connecting kids in need to people willing to help!
Our CoachArt Connect app enables a volunteer with a skill or hobby to efficiently schedule online or in-person lessons with a CoachArt family so their child can shed the label of “sick kid” and take on a new identity as artist or athlete.
It takes one more person to make it happen: you.
Members of CoachArt’s Impact Investment Club fund the lesson materials and staff oversight needed to connect more children affected by chronic illnesses to the extracurricular activities, mentorship, and community they need for a fuller and happier life.

On the CoachArt Connect app, another child gets to schedule arts or athletics lessons with a volunteer coach.
